Founder's Day

The first function of the academic year is when the students remember the Founder, whose birth anniversary is commemorated as founders day (June 12th). Painting and Craft competitions are held .

Independence Day

August 15th is celebrated in IJRS with pomp and fervor. March Past by the Scouts and Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls and students representing various houses takes place and the Chief Guest(President of Rotary Club, Mysuru) hoists the National Flag followed by speeches and a cultural programme.

Sports Day

The LPS and HPS Sports Day is held during the course of the year, which is attended by parents and students with lots of enthusiasm and fervor. Sports achievers who have represented our school at the: District, State and National Levels our honoured.

Annual / School Day

The Annual Day is held on two days, the first day being for students of KG to Grade 4, and on the second day for the students of Grade 5 to Grade 10.

The Annual Day is based on different themes every year. Children present a well planned and attractive cultural programme with songs, dances, skits, tableaus etc representing all languages and different aspects of our culture.

Open Day - Show casing co-curricular activities

Open Day is that one day of the year that we throw our doors open for parents to walk through the corridors and classrooms. Students and teachers work through the year to make this day an enjoyable and educative one. Each class works on a particular topic/theme and presents the same in many creative ways. The students’ art and craft material are displayed and make for an exceedingly interesting and colourful viewing.

A funfair is also organized on this day to add to the festive mood.

Educational Tour / Field Trip

Field trips are planned according to the age group, interests and needs of the students. This happens through the year as different classes visit different places.

Educational Tours and Field Trips give children a welcome break from the routine. They get to spend the day in a different learning environment. Learning in assorted ways can appeal to varied learning styles, helping children to succeed whether they are visual, auditory or kinetic learners.
